Transferring CITI Credit from Previous Institutions
UT Knoxville individuals who previously completed CITI training at another institution may follow the instructions below to transfer CITI credits from their previous institution. If the courses from the previous institution do not match those required by UT exactly, not all the modules will transfer and you will need to complete additional modules to meet the university’s requirements. Step-by-step instructions for transferring CITI courses from previous institutions can be found here.
Non- UT Researchers on a UT Research Project
If there are non-UT personnel engaged in your research project, please attach the CITI completion report from their institution to your IRB application in iMedRIS. The completion report should list all modules and courses completed in CITI, so that the HRPP office can compare this training to our required training. If the training is not comparable, we may ask the non-UT researcher to complete additional CITI training.
If non-UT personnel who are engaged in your research project have not previously completed CITI training, they can affiliate with UT Knoxville on the CITI website and take our required training.
